A ROMANTIC ELOPEMENT IN PORTOVENERE
Taelor & Jordan flew all the way from Canada to fulfil their wildest dream of eloping in Italy. Lovers of dramatic landscapes and sea views, Monica Gale’ WP helped to choose a gorgeous location to exchange their wedding vows. Portovenere, a pastel-coloured coastal town near Cinque Terre in Liguria, is a true gem that not many couples know of. Situated near my hometown in Liguria, I have traveled in this area all my life. I was excited to share all the beautiful spots with my couple, allowing them to pose against incredible backdrops and sea views. After the civil ceremony at the Town Hall of Portovenere, we headed towards the historical San Peter’s Church, perched on a hilltop, at the end of a cobbled street, right above the Mediterranean sea. We then ventured among the rocks on the side for some epic landscape photos as the sun was settling behind. The light was perfect at that moment, so we decided to move further, atop a panoramic path, for some dramatic sunset portraits. T & J followed my instincts all the way, their sense of adventure and flexibility paid off with magical wedding portraits.
